The Bridge End, Llangollen, reopens its doors after an impressive new refurbishment. The large pub and hotel, owned by Robinsons Brewery and run by Country Village Inns, is set to entice locals and visitors with its brand-new look pub, accommodation, and food offering.

The pub closed for a refurbishment in April and has undergone significant structural changes including a new internal layout, an improved function room and eight newly designed dog friendly bedrooms. The 5-month long scheme saw the inside of the building stripped out to be unrecognisable before works started on reconfiguring the layout.

The Bridge End is Country Village Inns fifth pub partnership with Robinsons, with other pubs including the Pooley Bridge, Red Dragon, Queens Head and their newly acquired Royal Oak. This will be their first venture in North Wales, with a total of eight pubs in their collection. The design scheme has been created to be versatile and welcoming for both the local community and tourists alike. With a location suitable for adventure holidays, walking, cycling, train spotting and relaxing welsh mini breaks the new look Bridge End is a family friendly pub in Llangollen.

Speaking with Managing Director of Country Village Inns, Mat Cooper, he said “I’ve spent many holidays in North Wales when I was younger, exploring local villages and picking up Welsh from my granddad. I had grandparents living in Llandudno and Llanrhystud, and when I first started in the industry, I knew I’d look for a pub close by one day. When the opportunity at the Bridge End opened up, I jumped at the chance, particularly knowing it was due a refurbishment. It’s such a beautiful building and in a prime part of town. We love taking on pubs ready for a new lease of life and putting them back in the heart of their communities. It’s what we’re good at.”

Mat went on to comment on his positive relationship with the family brewer saying “We love how Robinsons operate and look after their properties. Whilst they’re a well-established company, Robinsons continue developing and investing.”

The Bridge End reopened fully on 5th September with Bed and Breakfast starting at £110 a night. As well as relaxing surroundings and a warm welcome, you can expect a great food menu featuring all the pub classics, an excellent range of beers and even items for the dog too!
