Boars Head, Middlewich 

Middlewich Loop from Middlewich  

Starting from the Boar's Head pub in Middlewich, the trail is centred around the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal. This trail weaves through rural landscapes, historic locks, and wildlife-rich routes. Enjoy scenic views and local heritage. The loop is just over 7 miles and typically takes around 2-3 hours to complete, making it a great choice for a leisurely half-day outing.

The Plough, Whitegate  

Vale Royal Locks loop from Whitegate 

The Vale Royal Locks loop is approximately 6 miles and takes around 2.5 hours. It begins by transporting you back to the Industrial Revolution, featuring the Whitegate Way and the Weaver Navigation. These historic routes were originally built to transport salt from the Winsford mine to Runcorn and are now a great way of learning a little more about the local heritage.

The Viaduct Loop from Cranage

The Twemlow Viaduct Loop from Cranage takes you through countryside, woodland, and historic railway arches. If you are a Harry Styles fan, you will walk past a stile which has been decorated by fans. The loop is easily accessible for all, a great dog walking route and is an opportunity to explore neighbouring villages around the area.

Bells of Peover, Lower Peover  

Bridge over Peover Eye loop from Lower Peover 

The Bridge over Peover Eye Walk is a charming route set in Peover. This walk takes you along quiet paths and through fields, crossing the Peover Eye. The historic bridge, which lends the walk its name, adds character to the journey. Along the way, you’ll encounter rural views and wildlife. At around 6 miles and a 2 hours and 40 minutes’ walk, this walk is perfect for a relaxing outing immersed in nature.

Marbury Country Park – Marbury Country Park loop from Anderton 

The Marbury Country Park Walk from the Spinner and Bergamot is a scenic route that combines the charm of Cheshire’s countryside with the beauty of a historic park. Starting at the welcoming Spinner and Bergamot pub, the trail leads you through fields, woodland paths, and surroundings of Marbury Country Park. The park offers a peaceful retreat and opportunities to spot wildlife.
