In November, The Parr Arms in Grappenhall underwent a remarkable transformation following a 5-week refurbishment. The popular community pub, situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Grappenhall, has been refreshed both inside and out, to enhance its charm without losing any of its character.

Externally, the Parr Arms has had new signage, complemented by full exterior decoration and a new planting scheme which has added a splash of colour and nature. The full exterior makeover was accompanied by new outdoor furniture, providing the perfect setting for alfresco dining and drinks.

Once stepping inside, the refurbishment reflects tradition and has an autumnal colour scheme to add warmth. The pub has been given a full internal makeover, creating a stylish atmosphere for locals and new visitors. The significant feature we have changed is the brand-new bar which has been cleverly redesigned and reduced to half its previous depth. This change has notably increased the drinking area, making the space feel more open and social for drinkers.

Throughout the interior, a once cold and dark stone floor and carpet, has been replaced with charming solid oak herringbone flooring, adding warmth and character to the pub. To add to the community feel, the walls feature local artwork and elements of the village’s history, connecting the Parr Arms to the neighbourhood it serves.

The refurbishment has made the Parr Arms a cosy gathering place for families and visitors looking to enjoy quality food, drinks, and company in a refreshed and stylish setting. Whether you are enjoying a drink at the new bar, or soaking up the atmosphere outside on a summers evening, guests can look forward to a truly welcoming experience at the beautifully updated Parr Arms.
