The Red Cow in Nantwich had a fantastic refurbishment where we improved functionality, whilst breathing new life into the venue without taking its historical charm.
Being a 16th Century Old coaching inn, the pub is steeped in history. Central to the refurbishment, we focused on restoring its original features. The wooden beams which fill the pub with character, were restored to their natural colour through sandblasting, revealing their natural beauty and brightening the space. Externally, the pub received a full makeover with redecoration, a new door and a canopy to the rear entrance to make it more obvious for customers coming into the pub from the car park.
The main focus of the refurbishment was repurposing the empty, unused function room, which has now been turned into a vibrant space for facilitating extra diners. The function room now offers a welcoming ambiance, perfect for private gatherings, birthdays, events and everything in between.
To create a cosy atmosphere around the bar, new rugs were added and fixed seating on either side of the fireplace providing the perfect nook to warm up with a drink or two. The log store was also removed to add extra seating.

A brand-new bar has been installed, with improved accessibility to ensure there is seamless access to the disabled toilet facilities. Furniture throughout the pub has been refurbished and existing local artwork has been reframed, enhancing its appeal while maintaining the connection with the community. There was new flooring installed throughout the bar combining warm timber and carpets for added depth.

The Red Cow’s kitchen also underwent a new extension to add extra space, equipping it with brand new appliances to support the kitchen team in delivering even more delicious meals. Susie and Dax, our Pub Partners at the Red Cow, are great food operators and this will help expand their successful business.
The Red Cow's refurbishment blends tradition with contemporary, celebrating its rich heritage while adding timeless touches to delight every guest.
