The Whitchaff serves delicious home-cooked food seven days a week. We try to cater for everybody's needs and offer 4 different menus including gluten free, vegetarian and plant based as well traditional pub classics.
About Us
Once an old coaching house, The Whitchaff can be found close Rawtenstall and Edenfield. It's a traditional pub, serving delicious pub food. Award-winning cask ales are served with continental lagers, wines and spirits. From the beer garden there's panoramic views of the Rossendale valley.

A little more about us
The stone building dates from 1761, it was once an old coaching house. It’s been a pub for well over 100 years and used to be called the Hare & Hounds; the present unusual name, adopted in the 1970’s, is a combination of the shortened names of two of the owners of the day. Enjoy some delicious pub food and unwind in our picteresque beer garden!

Christmas at The Whitchaff
Celebrate with us this Christmas. Our Christmas party menu has something for everyone. Enjoy the festive favourites we all love such as Roast Turkey. Or, enjoy something a little different. We love our Vegetable and Feta fajita tacos followed by Raspberry Eton Mess on this year's Christmas festive menu.
