The Coach House Hotel is based just 15 miles from the M6 at Lancaster. The drive from the motorway takes you through some quaint and historic villages, passing the rivers Lune and Wenning on the way. Bentham is a market town, surrounded by a large farming community and villages such as Ingleton and Clapham. The surrounding country side around High Bentham is truly delightful, with plenty to offer the outdoor enthusiast, walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers and anglers, as well as those just wanting to relax and take things easy. It is also a popular base for visitors to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Local attractions include Ingleton Waterfalls, Ingleton and Clapham Caves, Hillwalking across the Three Peaks – Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent, Cycling Paths, local markets, fantastic walking routes, historic monuments and village fairs.
