A great community pub in Ashton-Under-Lyne
The Junction Inn is situated on Tuner Lane, a two minute walk from Ashton town centre
The Junction Inn was built around 1854 on what was then an area of Ashton called Charlestown. The area was made up of traditional "back to back" terraced houses and dotted with shops and many public houses. A tunnel still exists today under the Junction that used to connect to another pub across the street. The tunnel has a dip in the middle and it was probably used to roll barrels of ale from one pub to the other. The back to back housing has long gone and the area has been redeveloped but we are still very much a community pub. We love our sport here and we have nine big screens to watch all the action, we've kept a traditional tap room with darts and pool. Entertainment is our passion and we source some of the best bands and tribute acts in the business. We even have a motor bike club who raise considerable money for charities and organise some great events and rides out.
