A little more about us

Ideally situated alongside the Trent & Mersey canal on the Staffordshire/Cheshire border, 2 miles from the historic Little Moreton Hall and easily accessible by road from any direction. We are a family friendly pub which is popular with walkers, boaters, locals and passers-by. We pride ourselves on producing food of the highest quality, catering for all tastes with a varied selection of classic pub dishes along with some contemporary favourites and a large selection of fish specials. Wherever possible, we aim to support our community by sourcing our ingredients locally. Enjoy great wholesome homecooked food with restaurant seating for up to 55 indoors and 60 outdoors, weather permitting. Our beer garden is lockside with fantastic views along the canal, here you can while away the hours watching the narrow boats sail by. In the bar you'll find a good selection of beers and wines. As well as the usual offerings, we have some fine guest ales for you to try out. Upstairs, we have a function room that can cater for parties of up to 30 and we can provide a full catering service, whatever the event.
